How does digg.com affect website traffic?

That about says it. From a well formed posting and headline we recieved a good "shot in the arm" for traffic.
We submitted the article http://digg.com/design/The_Key_to_Perfect_Cut_Out_Images_using_Photoshop . Feel free to digg it some more :-)
Unlike other articles, this is "real world" expecations, are you going to get 10000+ visitors? Maybe, but don't hold your breath.
The numbers
For 30 minutes of work, writing some good content, submitting it to digg and a few other social bookmarking websites, we got:
- Over 100 visitors (on one day, it trickles down through the following days)
- We also made $1.25 in adsense revenue - not up to the bills Kevin Rose rakes in, but not bad for an honest 30 min of work.
- Some good experience in the "digg culture".
- 12 diggs for the post (so far).
